Securing your financing
Unless you plan to pay for your new home out of pocket, you will need to finance the build. You should consult a financial institution about obtaining a construction loan and mortgage for your new home. Their professionals will walk you through the loan process and answer your questions.
Choose Your Floor plan
Once you know what you can financially afford from your pre-approval letter, you get to select a floorpan that fits into your price range and meets your needs and preferences. Our collection of floorplans have both traditional and contemporary styles to fit a range of lifestyles and tastes.
Customizations
If building a custom or semi custom you will also have the opportunity to make changes or additions to your home. Some of these optional modifications and additions include layout changes, adding media and study rooms, or upgrading design elements.
Builder agreement
The next step is sitting down to review and sign a contract, which is designed to protect both parties. Review the details of the contract carefully before signing and then celebrate that the decision-making stage is complete!
Pre-Construction meeting
The pre-construction meeting is an important part of having your new home built. There are many important decisions to make during a new home build and the pre-construction meeting helps ensure nothing gets missed. We carefully review each design feature of your home to ensure your all plans align with what you envision for your dream home.
Construction
The construction process includes several steps. Some of the phases included in the construction timeline include laying the foundation; framing; installing electric and plumbing systems; installing windows, interior trim, and cabinets; and painting and flooring.
Homeowner Orientation
Once construction of your new home is finished and the project site is cleaned up, your Brooks Homes representatives will meet with you at your new home for a walk-through. They will familiarize you with the features of your new home and providing maintenance information.
Our Warranty
While our construction team makes every effort to be meticulous and precise while building your home, we know mishaps can happen. That is why Brooks Homes offers a complimentary warranty service that’s readily available for our clients. You have the opportunity to submit home warranty service requests at 90 days and 11 months post-construction.
